Complete mouth Rehabilitation with denture teeth for an Octogenarian

Mr. Srinivasan Rajan, the 81-year-old male used denture teeth in his upper and lower jaw to replace his missing teeth. Even though such fake teeth restore the smile efficiently, they have certain limitations. The denture teeth cannot prevent jaw bone loss hence that the dentures become loose over time. Wearing such loose or ill-fitting dentures will pose a lot of difficulties.

He also underwent the same problem and throbbing issues associated with it so he sought our dental support.

When we assessed the patient’s gum and jaw bone health, we found that his jaw bones deteriorated severely. It made him incompetent for permanent restorative procedures like implants. Moreover, he was in urgent need of getting teeth replacements.

By keeping the time constraint and state of the patient’s oral health, we decided to provide a new complete denture for the patient.

The process begins by making an imprint of the patient’s mouth. The impression gave us the measurements of the existing oral structures hence that our dental technicians can fabricate a new denture set that fits properly inside the mouth. In the meantime, the tooth shape, size, and color apt for the patient’s mouth were also preferred.

The technicians in our in-house laboratory started to make brand-new replacement dentures using the impression. As making new denture teeth requires a few days, we asked the patient to wait for a few days. We are utilizing the digital technologies in our laboratory through which we can deliver restorative appliances like dentures, dental caps, dental bridges, and others immediately.

Within a few days, the replacement denture set was made. We called the patient and made him wear the new denture in his upper and lower mouth. He was pleased with the new equipment because it fits comfortably in his mouth.

To tell a long story short, Mr.Srinivasan Rajan’s throbbing issues in his mouth triggered by ill-fitting dentures were fixed in just 2 dental visits.
